Hello, 2013.

2012 was a year filled with daring adventures and incredible opportunities. 

This year has been full of adventures and I have been able to cross so many things off of my ever growing bucket list. In 2012 I crossed off: skydiving, teaching english in a foreign country (peru), bungee jumping, working at an orphanage, swimming with dolphins, scuba diving, swimming with wild turtles, surfing, and swimming in waterfalls.

2012 has also been filled with many irreplaceable learning experience such as interning & working with a wonderful photographer who is one of my dearest friends. I spent a semester interning with a catering company as their wedding coordinator. I also spent the year volunteering weekly at an old folks home working with patients who have Alzheimer's disease. I started to teach myself guitar and ukulele (which will definitely require some learning in 2013 as well). And so many more wonderful things that I have been able to learn in this past year. 

This year has been filled with both ups & downs. The year brought heart ache as I said goodbye to my beautiful Aunt Bonnie who passed away in July. Throughout the year I also said "see you later" to some wonderful friends that I miss tremendously but with those goodbyes, I also created new friendships with some truly amazing people. I feel so grateful for the incredible people I have been blessed with in my life.

While 2012 was a wonderful year, I couldn't be more excited to see 2013 finally arrive! I have so many exciting things planned for my next year including some long awaited reunions, a few traveling adventures, returning back to utah, and much more! I am so excited for the new year to start and continue on in this wonderful adventure we call life!

and learn to be happy with what you can't."

valentines day circa 2011.

a year ago the day started off with a "kissing" contest.

we packed into the bookstore with other couples,

concentrated and determined to win the prize.

everyone that passed us as the contest went on

would say that we would be the first ones out.

after two hours (and seven minutes)

of dancing, laughing, pain,

and me repeating "i won't give up till you do",

me and my best friend won two ipod touches.

isaac couldn't have been more excited to win.

the day continued as any other normal day,

a slew of boring Monday classes and

sitting at the kitchen counter

talking nothingness with isaac.

we went out to dinner, i remember that it was

gorgeous weather for february and

isaac wished he had brought his motorcycle up.

we exchanged presents.

before handing me the tiffanys box,

he swore to me that it wasn't a big deal.

since we had long ago agreed presents weren't our thing.

we went to see the justin bieber movie

(3D, hence the ridiculous glasses in the picture)

for the second time in one weekend.

it was just another day with my best friend.

i wish that i could spend any given tuesday

with my best friend.

eight months down, sixteen to go.

another year bites the dust.

2011 was an adventure...

full of wonderful people...

this year came with a lot of

happiness, struggles, change and growth.

but, i am excited to say goodbye to 2011

and welcome in this new year, full of unknown.
