although i probably should talk about other things right now, i would like to talk about three boys:the first one is allen

allen is my mothers "friend"
that owns a shop in bethlehem. yesterday allen offered a flock of camels for me. my father said he would pay allen 50 camels to take me. my father loves me a lot. the one good thing that came out of being sold into marriage is that i already received free earings and a necklace from allen (i only was allowed to have them if i promised not to forget about him)
the second boy has no name. last night, on christmas eve, i went to midnight mass at manger circle (along with a thousand other people) most of these were drunken middle eastern men that liked young american girls. the result of this was that all of them would follow my sister and me around. they would all do the 'whisper to friend-all friends turn around-do the 360 turn to watch us'. i guess age doesn't matter to them, which usually it doesn't, except for when it's a 50 year old man staring down a 12 year old girl. but i'm getting side tracked. the second 'boy' was a thirty-ish year old man that was standing behind me in the crowd. first he would just touch my back, which i ignored. then he grabbed my hips and pushed me back towards him. i tried to act calm by just having my brother stand in between us. but then this man did not give up and went all the way around the crowd only to end up on my other side. i thought it was finally enough when i found him with his hand on my leg and rubbing it. i just thought this man deserved a shout out for never giving up.
the third boy is my brother.

we've visited two orphanage's while we've been here. and i watched my brother with the little kids and decided that he is going to be a great father some day. he gets this natural way with little kids from my daddy.
